What can I say, other than ‘Bravo’ !! What a huge success our event at the prestigious H Forman & Son was, thanks to an exceptional hospitality team and a stunning venue. This truly was the best that our industry has to offer. We have all worked in hospitality in one form or another for most of our adult life, and appreciate when teams have gone above and beyond, paying attention to even the smallest detail.

We were warmly welcomed with a glass of fizz, and it just got better from there. Conversations were flowing, amongst old friends and new acquaintances. Shaun Lawrence, from our events committee had kindly made badges for everyone, which was a brilliant idea, helping to quickly discover who was who.

Master of Ceremonies, Mr Andrew Etherington did a grand job orchestrating proceedings and introducing our sponsor for the event, Helen Flint. We were delighted to hear about her mindset and transformation coach business and how she delivers executive coaching to entrepreneurial, people-focused, business leaders who see the value in investing in themselves and their leadership team.

We were then treated to an insight into our hosts for the event, with Lance Forman explaining the family history behind the business, and the relocation to the site they now occupy. It has been a journey with many intriguing moments, which he delivered with both humour and conviction. He talked about about his business resilience, surviving fires, floods and relocation all in 5 years – and then Covid! His book on the compulsory purchase and subsequent move for many businesses in the area is available here too https://www.formanandfield.com/product/formans-games-the-dark-underside-of-the-london-olympics/

The Head Chef and MD, Lloyd Hardwick created fabulous dishes, with the highest quality ingredients which were presented beautifully, and delivered to the tables with warmth and professionalism. The team, led by Claire Bishop, really impressed, with nothing being too much trouble. Our menu started with a tasting plate, where all the types of salmon were explained and we were able to appreciate the styles of preparation, and flavours infused. The entire meal was a taste sensation, and these are just some of the comments we received from our guests:
